In 2001, after 3 years in Ny-Ålesund, I moved to Longyearbyen.
To summarize the time there, I started an oil painting:
"Life in the Arctic" - (1.20m X 1m X 5mm on plywood)
The Picture contains elements from wintering at Polheim 10 years earlier and from Ny-Ålesund.
Unfortunately, the project was never finished and ended up in the back of the freezer in 2002.
Now, before Christmas in 2023 I decided to finish it.
The Pictures hang today in the Svea Flight Tower in Longyearbyen.
